Gonzalo Paredes begann seine musikalische Laufbahn im Alter
von 8 Jahren am Konservatorium der Universität von Santiago de Chile.
Im Jahre 2000 schloss er seine künstlerische Ausbildung als Diplom Musiker
und Musikpädagoge mit Auszeichnung ab. 2001 setzte er seine künstlerischen
Studien an der HfMT Köln bei Prof. Dr. h.c. Arbo Valdma fort, die er 2004
ebenfalls mit Diplom erfolgreich beendete. Danach wechselte er dann an die
Hochschule für Musik in Saarbrücken, wo er ein Aufbaustudium begann. Ebenfalls mit Auszeichnung schloss er dieses
Studium mit Erlangung der Konzertreife nach zwei Jahren ab. Danach wurde
er in die Solistenklasse aufgenommen und schloss dieses
Studium im 2012 mit großem Erfolg ab.
In seiner Heimat Chile gab er u.a. Konzerte im Goethe-Institut, an der
Opernbühne in Santiago und konzertierte bereits in jungen Jahren mit dem
Landessymphonie-Orchester Chile, dem Landes-Jugend-Symphonie-Orchester,
sowie dem Landessymphonie-Orchesters von Cuyo in Argentinien.
In Deutschland spielte er zusammen mit den Orchestern der Kölner und
Saarbrücker Musikhochschulen, sowie dem Landes-Jugend-Symphonie-Orchester-Saar.
In Pärnu (Estland) spielte er mit dem Orchester des Internationalen Musikfestivals
Glasperlenspiel.
In Chile erlangte er u.a. erste Preise beim Claudio Arrau Wettbewerb, Rosita Renard und Chopinwettbewerb der Chopin-Gesellschaft Chile. Ebenfalls konnten erste Preise in
Deutschland und Italien erzielt werden, wie z.B. beim 15. Walter-Gieseking-Wettbewerb
und beim VIII Antonio Napolitano Premio di Ezecuzione Internationale.

Gonzalo Paredes iniciates his musical studies at the age of 8 years old at the Conservatorium of the University of Chile. In the year 2000 conclude with Distinction his Musical Diploma with a Pedagogical Degree. In 2001 continues his artistic studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne (Germany) with Prof. Dr. h. c. Arbo Valdma, which he successfully finalize with the Music Diploma. After that, Gonzalo goes to the Hochschule für Musik Saarbrücken (Germany) to course Advanced Studies in Music. He finalizes this studies with Distinction, as well, and is invited to attend the Solistenexamen, which he also conclude with great success.
Gonzalo has played in numerous ocations, for example, at the Goethe Institut, al the Municipal Theater of Santiago, the Chamber of the Deputies, and the Semanas Musicales de Frutillar. Gonzalo also has already played with the National Symphony Orchestra and the National Youth Symphony Orchestra of Chile, the Symphony Orchestra from Cuyo, Argentina. In Germany with the Symphonic Orchestras of the Cologne and Saarbrücken Musikhochschulen and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Saarbrücken. And in Pärnuu, Estonia, with the Symphony Orchestra of the International Musicfestival Glasperlenspiel.
Gonzalo has recieved many prizes, such as, First Prize al the Claudio Arrau, the Rosita Renard and the Chopin Competitions of Chile, and the First Prize of the Walter Gieseking and Antonio Napolitano International Piano Competitions.

Gonzalo Paredes comienza sus estudios musicales a los 8 años en el Conservatorio de la Universad de Chile. El 2000 concluye sus estudios de Licenciatura en Artes con Mención en Interpretación Musical y el Grado Académico de Profesor de Piano con Distinción Máxima en la Cátedra del Profesor Fernando Cortés. El 2001 continúa su formación artística en la Hochschule für Musik und Tanz de Colonia en Alemania en la Clase del Prof. Dr. h. c. Arbo Valdma, recibiendo el Diploma de Músico en 2004. Luego se dirige a la Hochschule für Musik en Saarbrücken (Alemania) donde realiza estudios Superiores de Música, los cuales finaliza también con Distinción. Después de esto, es invitado a realizar el estudio de Solistenexamen, el cual concluye también con gran éxito.
En Chile, Gonzalo ha dado conciertos, entre otros, en el Goethe-Intitut, en el Teatro Municipal de Santiago, en la Cámara de Diputados y en las Semanas Musicales de Frutillar. Además, desde muy joven ha participado como solista con la Orquesta Sinfónica de Chile, la Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil y la Orquesta Sinfónica de Cuyo, Argentina. En Alemania ha sido solista con las Orquestas de la Musikhochschule de Colonia y de Saarbrücken y con la Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil de Saarbrücken. En Pärnuu, Estonia, se ha presentado como solista de la Orquesta del Festival Internacional de Música "Glasperlenspiel".
Gonzalo ha recibido numerosos premios, entre otros, Primer Lugar del Concurso Arrau, Rosita Renard y de la Fundación Chopin de Chile. Aparte de este, ha recibido premios en el extranjero, entre otros, el primer Lugar en el Concurso Walter Gieseking (Alemania) y el Primer Lugar en el Concurso Antonio Napolitano en Nápoles, Italia.
